Job Description:  Fun and engaging nanny required for family in Batheaston. The parents are expecting their third child in January 2021 so would appreciate someone who can start before the baby arrives to provide some rest time for the Mother. This position is currently for an 8 month period initially but could be extended for longer for the right candidate. The focus will be on the older children whilst the Mother cares for the baby so the parents would like the nanny to be fun and proactive in organising stimulating activities but can help promote boundaries where needed. The eldest ( Girl aged 7) is very smart and hypersensitive who loves exploring the outdoors. Her keen interests are music, dancing, singing, gymnastics, cooking/baking, and arts/crafts. Their boy aged 4 is also very smart and sensitive who loves a cuddle. He is thriving in reception class despite being the youngest in his year and is blossoming into a very independent and funny child. Like his sister he thrives on exploring the outdoors and burning off energy with lots of physical activity. His other interests include anything engineer focused, he likes to know and understand how things work. It is key the nanny has similar interests and can help the children to continue to thrive in these areas.

Both children attend a local school so during term time the hours required are different compared to the school holidays. Term time duties are school preparation, drop off/pickups, keeping the house tidy, preparing nutritional meals and helping with after school care and bath/bedtime. During school holidays the focus will be on entertaining the children and providing fun activities both indoors/outdoors alongside completing the standard nursery duties.

As a preference the parents would prefer the nanny to live in however if they preferred to live out this could be discussed. They want to ensure the nanny can be reliable and commit to the hours needed but appreciate living in Bath can be tricky with traffic, so it is important to be aware of this. The live-in accommodation is separate to the parents’ house and is based on the grandparents’ property over the road. The grandparents have a covered swimming pool that can be used so it would be great if the nanny was a confident swimmer.

This is a great opportunity to work for a lovely family who wants someone to become part of their family over the next 8 months and that will appreciate the support transitioning to having 3 children.
