Job Title: Nanny/Housekeeper
Location: Near Chippenham, Wiltshire

Live in/out: Live in preferred
Live in accommodation: One bedroom studio cottage on site, fully furnished. Bills included. – Option for a partner to also live within the property
Salary: Around £21,000 gross per annum
Days/hours
Monday to Friday
30 hours per week
Duties :
General cleaning and tidying of the family home, family laundry, family cooking. Supporting with administration where required. Supporting with school runs ( although the parents are hoping to do the majority), helping with after school activities and bath/bedtime preparation. A muck in attitude is essential.
Additional information
– Babysitting/overnights would be required
– Confident swimmer essential
– Family has a dog, chickens & ponies. ( Dog lover important) Confidence with ponies would be a bonus but not essential.
– Saturday support would be appreciated during the Winter.
– Potential car available but must have own car due to rural location
Job description
Our client is looking for a nanny/housekeeper to join their family. This is a lovely job for someone combining both childcare and household jobs. Both parents work full time with a mixture of from home or at the office. They would like someone who is pro active and confident to take the lead when required.
The family have two wonderful children, one girl aged 7 and a boy aged 4. Their eldest loves ponies, crafting, art and potion making. Their youngest loves tractors, machinery and ponies. They both enjoy being outdoors and where possible exploring the countryside, helping in the garden and having fun at the nearby parks.
From September both children will be attending school ( both at different locations).
During term time the focus will be ensuring all the household tasks are completed whilst the children are at school. It is important the candidate is organised with running a household. When the children are home the priority will be to ensure they are supported with any extracurricular activities followed by supper and bath/bedtime.
The role would suit someone who loves working in the countryside and is happy to become part of a family working as a team.
Candidate requirements ( or be willing to obtain)
- A background working as a nanny/housekeeper essential
- Must be DBS Enhanced checked ( on the update service)
- 12 hour Paediatric first aid trained
- Excellent experience working as a nanny/housekeeper where possible. However, our client is flexible providing they the candidate is the right fit.
- Confident driver
- Excellent checkable references from recent/current employment
